A new study from Europe found that children born to older parents have less external behavior issues, such as aggression or disobedience. The study was done since it is known that there seems to be a connection between a fathers age and Autism Spectrum Disorders. The researchers looked at Dutch children from the ages of 10-12. Researchers used parental and teacher reports on the children’s behavior. They also took into account different socioeconomic factors and still got the same results. One theory is that older patients tend to have more education although they state this cannot be the only factor. The study didn’t look at cognitive ability so more studies need to be done.
